Satisfaction

Last week I dedicated a post to Shortcake Sugarplum. She once told me that she liked my posts because they have a beginning, a middle and an end. (In that order. My posts don’t emulate Godard. Or the Portlandia parody of Godard.) It was good to know that someone felt satisfied by something I do. Especially because Ms. Sugarplum has long been satisfying my desire for elaborate eyelashes with her creations for Lucky #7. This is only fitting since she was the one who aroused that desire in the first place. When Ms. Sugarplum went on eyelash hiatus, I got to feeling that Portia was naked and exposed. Apparently this is a common reaction to Ms. Sugarplum’s phases of slothful indifference to the needs of our avatars’ eyelids. Think about it: without a thick slather of lashes an avi exposes her eyeballs to the harmful rays of the sun. And misses out on rare opportunities to bat something at attractive men. (Pretending to laugh at a hot guy’s jokes is even more painful when one’s eyeballs are sunburnt.) Luckily, Ms. Sugarplum is back to work. And for some strange reason, she named her latest pair of peeper keepers after my blog. All is forgiven, SS. For now.

The Gallery Gift Shop has just launched its latest round of goodies. Portia wears a big comfy sweater from 22769 and pink felt Button Boots from NuDoLu. If you don’t like pink, you’re in luck, because these beauties also come in a mustache-decorated version done in two shades of grey.

This month’s artworks are especially lovely. Portia poses with Gabrielle Swindlehurst’s image of a bulbalicious chandelier. (What you’re seeing is just a detail. The photo looks much more cinematic when some blogger isn’t cropping it for a vanity pic.) Chiana0 is featuring olde-timey airplanes in her works. I like this skin because it’s sophisticated-looking without being too made up.

Gotta love a chimney

May your days be merry and bright. And may all your holidays be hella tight. If Portia is looking a little too sexy this Christmas eve, it’s because she finally made it onto Santa’s third list. There’s one for good boys and girls, there’s one for bad boys and girls, and there’s one for very naughty adults. Portia’s just heard the sleigh land on the roof. She can’t wait for Santa to slide down her chimney.

The Gallery Gift Shop has started its new rotation, and this hot cocktail dress by 22769 is available in red, black, beige and mustard yellow. Recently, I mistakenly reported that Dutch Touch closed on December 13th. In fact, it’s open till the 31st, so I am hoping to show off a few of Iki Ikarus’ skins. I snooze

The new rotation at The Gallery Gift Shop features this awesome set of goggles by Zib Scaggs for Zibska. For a mere 75L you get a gajillion looks from the colour-change feathers, frame and lenses. (You also get the chance to annoy the inch-dicked morons who perv your av while she’s dressing. Always a joy, annoying.) Anorak’s harvest-time look features the elegantly bohemian Tabitha blouse by 22769, which is sold at TGGS with a long skrt in a dusty brown tone.
