Man up

The offerings for the new round of Euphoria’s Limited Bazaar are so fantastic that I wanted to call this post “Fu*k yes.” The theme is menswear. Portia’s avant-gardey suit from E-Clipse and her colour-blocked coat from Diram are only two of the stylish, discounted buys. Remember that Limited Bazaar features limited quantities. If you want these, go as soon as you finish reading every precious word of this post.

Lilo Glom of JesyLiLo is doing two fabulous skins for winter events. This is Gül Buz, which will be available at the Frost Fair as of December 12th. When I slipped on this skin, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Gül Buz is a sophisticated and polished beauty. On the other hand, Portia’s hair, Valerie 2, is wonderfully disheveled, courtesy MissAllSunday Lemon of Wasabi Pills. Valerie 2 is the sequel to a neatly coiffed version, and both are available at the new Collabor88.

Zima, the other lovely new skin from JesyLiLo, is available until December 15 at The Winter Fair. For Zima, Ms. Glom has designed glossy lipsticks in a range of colours that cover bold and pale looks. Portia’s mesh eyes are new from Clemmm. The haunting periwinkle shade is speckled with white lights.

I saw a coat like this in a real-life ad and hoped against hope that I’d be able to buy it in SL. Thank you, Diram! Take note of Portia’s multi-colour boots, which are a Paperbag item at the Singer Icon Fair, until December 13th. The pack also provides a version with silver toes, and the boots are available in other colours.

Fawning it

What’s a fawn to wear? Pink Fuel’s Project Themeory fawn skins set me dreaming. How, besides adding ears and a tail, could I turn my models into proper fawns? Should I dress them in monochrome brown? Head over to Scribble to buy some more Spotty Bum outfits? Let the girls go buck naked save for a tail and a pair of ears? As I shopped for fawn parts, it occurred to me that fawns don’t eat meat, and this was the inspiration I needed. If fashionable fawns were going to wear clothes, those clothes would have to be made out of vegetables and fruits.

Anorak-the-fawn wears Hearts of Romaine, Pig’s vegetarian contribution to the Koreshan Bake Sale, which ends this weekend. (Pig also made carnivore clothing, which I couldn’t stomach. I am not a brave enough blogger.) For deer, this item is as sexy as it gets: the entire outfit, not just the undies, is edible.

Portia-the-fawn wears Pig’s Helendale Bodysuit, which is made out of delicious Bumbleberry. So much more exotic than all the cherries and strawberries littering the grid! (If I had my way, everything would be made out of rhubarb pie.)

On a chilly day, Portia-the-fawn changes into fri.day’s freebie Ballet Sweater in Berry. Her flower nom is a Sanu gift from the Spring Bazaar. I have to thank Sanura for the frequent gifts, because without them, my models would smoke like chimneys.

Easter munch

How do avatars fare when their humans take a holiday? Early in the afternoon of April 4th, Portia arrived at a BDSM munch dressed as a bunny.

She attracted the attention of that week’s Guest of Honour, who is believed to have a fetish for gold shoes.

Reports have it that, as the Easter Bunny dragged her off to his den, Portia shouted, “You better know how to wield the carrot as well as you do the stick!”

Bunny vs. bunny

Anorak brings the cute to the Twelfth Annual Bunny Beauty Contest, pairing a leotard by Scribble with one of six pairs of socks from Silent Sparrow’s Starlust hunt gift. She tries to give her look an edge by adding Medley’s tattoo of a “hand gun” shooting hearts, but the French judge dismisses it as trashy.

Portia may have come into this contest too confident. Although the egg-adorned ears from Astraia show creativity, she needs to lighten up her makeup and her mood if she wants to shine as brightly as her Izzie’s bodysuit.

Loica takes a risk with her Xtreme Desires Playboy bunny outfit. But the judges are so impressed by her energy that they allow it. She does lose points, however, for the wardrobe malfunction that reveals the A&M Bunny Tape under her bustier.

Return of the refuseniks

Today, Anorak presents more physical culture refuseniks, roles inspired by the Soviet-style murals at Apatia Hammerer’s Pig shop. In this picture, Anorak arrives for an early morning skating practice trussed up like a puppet of the state. She is the girl who goes limp when confronted with authoritarian regimes and costumes patterned after flags. Her outfit, Darling Baby Seal, is a Pig gift from the group Purveyors of Accidental Love, and it comes in an opaque version for ladies who would never revolt.

Anorak’s skin, which comes complete with garish underthings and tattoos, is an opening gift from Dimbula Rose, and may still be available.
